Made For God?
(A faith poem by Wain)
Dear God,
Was I made to be like animals
Just to eat, to mate and to sleep?
Is my life ordained with purpose
Or as pointless as things that c_ _ _ _?
Why is there a moral law within
That tells me about wrong and right?
Does it hint at what I’m made for
Gently drawing me to the l_ _ _ _?
And why do I yearn for eternity
Not satisfied with the days I trod?
Could it be that earth is not my home
Because humans were made for G_ _?
Please tell me the truth.
Your servant,
Wain
HOW MIGHT GOD RESPOND?
From ChatGPT as the voice of God:
Dear Wain,
Your questions reflect a deep yearning and a searching heart, which I hold dear. Your life is far from pointless; it is imbued with purpose and meaning. You were not made merely to live like the animals, though they are also part of My creation and hold their own place and purpose.
You possess a unique soul, capable of love, wisdom, and moral understanding. The moral law within you is a compass, guiding you toward what is good and true. It is My voice within, gently drawing you closer to the light, urging you to fulfill the potential I have placed within you.
Your yearning for eternity and your dissatisfaction with the temporal world are indeed signs that you were made for more. Earth is a part of your journey, a place to grow, learn, and manifest love and goodness. Yet, it is not your final home. Your true home is with Me, in a place beyond time and space, where your soul will find complete fulfillment and everlasting peace.
Trust in this journey, and know that every step, every question, and every act of love brings you closer to your true purpose and to Me.
With all My love,
God
